Paumier uses her 25 years of experience to help businesses and organizations effectively communicate their core strengths to the media, analysts, employees, business partners and other audiences.  
 
In the process, Paumier has developed a reputation as a hands-on, senior-level consultant, adept at providing "high-level" strategic counseling, "lower-level" editing and everything in between.  
 
Since 1987, Paumier has been an independent consultant, serving clients that range from Fortune 1,000 companies to start-ups, especially in the hardware, software and online areas.  
 
Representative technology clients include Nokia, Memjet, Fujitsu, Novell, Richard Sampson Associates (online construction service) Jameco Electronics (distribution) and MoJo Designs (embedded software).  
 
Representative healthcare clients include the Center for Healthcare Technologies (Lawrence Livermore Laboratories), Toshiba America Medical Systems (MRI) and Voxel (3-dimensional holographic imaging).

Before founding Communications Plus in 1987, Paumier was a vice president at D-A-Y Public Relations, a national PR firm. She also was an account executive at Russom & Leeper and Ruder & Finn Public Relations, both in San Francisco.

  • Does in-house training for technology PR firms with offices in Palo Alto, Santa Clara and New York.  
     
  • Has earned the Accredited Public Relations (APR) certification from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).  
     
  • Teaches PR at UC Extension, Santa Cruz. She taught PR workshops at the San Jose State University Professional Development Center for more than a decade, and has also taught at the Cisco Systems • San Jose Entrepreneur Center. 
     
  • Has received 16 local, national and international awards for her PR programs: from the Northern California Chapters of PRSA and the Business Marketing Association (BMA), from the Hermes Creative Awards, League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) and Marcom Awards.
